This past weekend, me a few old college buddies put everything down just to spend the day, shoot the breeze and catch up. It was nothing great, but for us it couldn’t have been anything short of perfection. We stopped by Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for a late afternoon snack. For those who haven’t been at least once, it’s an experience for the senses. There is just something amazing about seeing doughnuts made fresh.
Alexander Smith’s Solo Art Show just ended at the end of the month. It literally took me till the last day to get down there and get a chance to look at the final pieces in person. I hope my photographs do them justice.
I still remember the first time I heard, “when I’m on the microphone you best to wear your sweater. Cause I’m cooler than a polar bear’s toenails.” Those words were magic to a kid like me, & here I am in my twenties still completely enthralled and impressed with Daddy Fat Sacks, Billy Ocean, Sir Lucious Left Foot or as most everyone one calls him Big Boi.
