The Rooftop of a premier art gallery in LA. Overlooking the shimmering lights of the infamous Sunset strip. The sounds of small talk & exited enthusiasm rumbling from the world’s art elite. And on display for the world a form of art that is more synonyms with the cold hard concrete of the streets than the pristine manicured walls of a gallery. A place that’s giving artists, with backgrounds in what some consider street vandalism, their true notoriety and legitimacy in the art world. Allowing artist the platform not only to receive their laurels but also to showcase everything they’ve done for the landscape of art. It’s hard to feel anything but unyielding joy & excitement in this place.

First off we want to thank all of the hardcore D.CREW fans for be so amazingly fanatical about our Limited Edition Heart x D.CREW tee. But there is another group of amazing people that we have to thank. Without them this entire project would not have been possible. So from the entire D.CREW, thank you to our dear friends Vince, at LOUD & OBNOXIOUS, & Robert, over at Glad Rags Ink, for getting us out of a bind and letting us use their print press when we were having a technical issue with ours.

Robert & Vince were nice enough to give me a tour of their newly opened LOUD & OBNOXIOUS and Glad Rags Ink HQ. So let’s take a look around.

What’s in the Mystery

Okay, so a few of you emailed us some pretty valid questions over the past week. The main one being, “What exactly is a mystery box?” The Mystery Box is an idea we cooked up to help give you the best bang for your buck this season. In essence, it’s a box filled with a bunch of awesome D.CREW products (7 to be exact).

So at this point you’re probably thinking, “Awesome! I am really liking this new D.CREW idea, but what exactly comes in this box?” That’s where we put the mystery in Mystery Box. You won’t know what assorted goodies we put in your Mystery Box. Maybe there’ll be a lama, or a case of fruit roll-ups, maybe even some underwear. The possibilities are endless!

But in reality, it’ll probably be some badass D.CREW stuff (maybe even some unreleased new products that no one else has even seen yet). So make sure you pick up your Mystery Box today! Till then, we’ll get started on making sure they’re Fresh to Death!™ Who knows what mysterious goodies will find their way in there?!?!

Good friend Gregory Siff, in collaboration with Rooftop Sessions at Siren Studios, is proud to present his newest showcase THERE & BACK. The show premiers tonight at the Siren Studios, 6063 W. Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, CA. There will definitely be some familiar faces there; Alexander DCD, Jay Ward, Risk from The 7th Letter and a few other special guest are rumored to be in attendance. We hope we get to see all of you there as well.

After a three month hiatus, Mechanical People are back and better than ever. Playing shows to promote their new EP, Faith in Will. They were at the Good Hurt in West Los Angeles to give fans a preview of what to expect from the super group in 2012. For those of you that have never been to the Good Hurt, it’s unlike any other LA experience. A pharmacy themed music venue where the female bartenders (dressed as sexy nurses of course) fill your nightly (alcoholic) Rx at the bar. The eccentricity of the venue matched the playful energy of the Mechanical People set.

We want to thank Mechanical People and Good Hurt for having us. We had an absolute blast rocking our faces off. Plus, it was an added thrill to see Mechanical People’s leader singer, Ben Graupner, rocking one of his favorite D.CREW vintage tees.
