There are 2 parts to the phrase “Independent Grind”, the independence you seek & the grind you endure. Both, forever battling & building each other. Neither one being complete without the other. We are ALL “Self Made Empires”, “Forever Grindin’”. This was my inspiration for D.CREW’s Fall 2010 Line Up & I wanted to convey that in the first shirt we released for the season. I hope you enjoy rocking them as much as I enjoyed designing them for you.
People have been wondering since we opened our doors in 2008, when we were going to come out with a line just for women. Well, the wait is over! Diamond Crew is launching their new Fall 2010 Women’s Line today. The first article for the New Women’s Line is the “Self Made Empire” tee. This shirt was Jay Ward’s (D.CREW’s founder & creative director) inspiration behind the entire Fall 2010 Line Up. When I asked Jay about his inspiration behind the new Fall Line Up, in a recent sit down interview, he had this to say, “There are 2 parts to the phrase “Independent Grind”. But more then being highly inspired, Jay is an absolute perfectionist, and it shows in this New Fall 2010 Line Up. All the women’s tees are made from super soft, 100% ringspun cotton. They are longer in length , with a slightly scooped neck & fashionably shorter sleeves. The tees also have a slight stretch that makes for a perfect fit & are preshrunk to minimize shrinkage.
This 4 Part Mini series was sent to us courtesy of Nike SB. Nike SB announced the global launch of the Zoom Paul Rodriguez 4’s on 8/21/2010. Paul went to New York to hit the streets and spend time in the studio with one of his idols, hip-hop legend NAS. The result is a 60-second commercial, directed by Nike SB’s own Jon Humphries, following Paul’s journey through iconic New York City skate spots, accompanied by music from Nas and two interviews.
