People have been wondering since we opened our doors in 2008, when we were going to come out with a line just for women. Well, the wait is over! Diamond Crew is launching their new Fall 2010 Women’s Line today. The first article for the New Women’s Line is the “Self Made Empire” tee. This shirt was Jay Ward’s (D.CREW’s founder & creative director) inspiration behind the entire Fall 2010 Line Up. When I asked Jay about his inspiration behind the new Fall Line Up, in a recent sit down interview, he had this to say, “There are 2 parts to the phrase “Independent Grind”. The independence you seek & the grind you endure. Both, forever battling & building each other. Neither one being complete without the other. We are ALL “Self Made Empires”, “Forever Grinding’”. But more then being highly inspired, Jay is an absolute perfectionist, and it shows in this New Fall 2010 Line Up. All the women’s tees are made from super soft, 100% ringspun cotton. They are longer in length , with a slightly scooped neck & fashionably shorter sleeves. The tees also have a slight stretch that makes for a perfect fit & are preshrunk to minimize shrinkage.
